Foston Conservation Group

                                                                     The group first met in January 2008 with Jenny and Richard Wynn at the helm, using the

Foston Parish Plan as a basis, the group agreed on two projects in the first instance:

To enhance the entrances to the village by planting bulbs by the village signs and removing litter from in and around the village.

To improve access to local footpaths and produce a leaflet showing local walks.

They have since gone on to organise successful: Open Gardens event in 2009 and 2011,

Bee Brunch with Foston WI, to raise awareness of the plight of native honey bees,

Spring Walk and BBQ and they have worked with

Lincolnshire County to produce the Foston’s Walks leaflet here 


Currently the group are working on a project to enhance the entrance of the playing field.
They meet once every 2 months or so on a Monday evening 8pm, new members are always welcome.
