Gardening began at Boroughbridge Allotment Society in 2011 on land rented from the Town Council with 75 plots and a group of very enthusiastic gardeners. A year later, demand was so great that a further 35 plots were introduced and now with 110 plots, a shared space and orchard there is plenty of opportunity for members to enjoy a vibrant community spirit. The ethos of the society is to promote healthy living and is active within the local community, organising the successful Plot to Plate event in May each year. More information
