River Ure            NO NIGHT FISHING

Fishing over 4 miles of the River Ure mostly both banks from below the town centre to the Swale & Ure intersection.

Fish Species

Barbel (over 11lbs), Chub, Roach, Dace, Perch and large Pike

Day tickets are available from Pybus Newsagents and Baileys Newsagents for the Aldborough length at a cost of £5 per day on pegs 1-70.

Roecliffe Ponds & Meadows (SINC Site) NO NIGHT FISHING

NOT open for Day Tickets. Open only to members and their guests (with a £5.00 guest ticket). 

Access through locked gates. Keys are obtainable with a £5.00 returnable deposit.

Over 20 fishing platforms have been created on this site, we have at least 5 easily accessible wheelchair friendly platforms.

The site is classified as a SINC site for nature conservation.

Fish species: Tench, Bream, Carp, Roach, Rudd, Pike, Perch and Eels 

Club Membership (you must have a current rod licence for membership)

Membership year runs from 1st April to 31st March each year.

As of 2016 Membership rates are:-

Adult (18+) £50.00 per year, Concessions £20.00, Intermediate (16 to 18) £25.00, Juniors(12 to 16) and under 12 FOC

During the summer months the club runs 6 free to enter fishing matches for junior members, with free tuition and prizes.
