A CCTV system was installed in February 2019.
This system covers the Town centre, Back Lane Car Park, Horsefair & Fishergate. 

Approval to install the system was agreed by the Town Council (Minute ref:10/04/18 8ji) following a public consultation.
The results of the CCTV Survey were as follows:
Responses in favour of a new CCTV system - 95.4%
Responses against a new CCTV system - 4.6%
